A non-tank warrior.
I'm trying to make a warrior, but the thing is, I really don't want to tank. What's more, it seems that in PvP a tank isn't as useful as you'd think. I'm trying to put together a good damage dealing build to use for just random PvP matches here and there, maybe to use to help out someone on a mission or something. This isn't my main character, so I'm not taking it quite as seriously, I just want to know if there's a good method out there. Right now my build is just a basic adrenaline spike (sever/gash/galrath's), disrupting blow, deadly riposte, gladiator's defense, healing signet, and ressurect signet. It works alright, took a team of henchmen all the way to zaishen elite, which is good for my skill level. Still, I know it's just an amateur build. The really limiting thing is that I'm absolutely commited to three things: using swords, using my iridescent aegis, which is req. 12 tactics, and not using gladiator's armor. So, does anyone think they could please help me out a bit?

Try somthing like:
1. Frenzy
2. Bull's Charge [Elite]
3. Sever Artery
4. Gash
5. Final Thrust
6. Healing Signet
7. Distracting Blow
8. Ressurection Signet
Since I don't know your secondary, if you want to, or can change that, or much else, I'm just going to say run Swordsmanship as high as possible. That means 12+1+3 is optimal.
If you want to give information as to what your armor and secondary are, that would help people out.
P.S. Try posting PvP-Related stuff in the PvP fourm.

Get rid of Riposte and Glad's Defense, add a speed boost. Replace Galrath's with Final Thrust. Why are you commited to those three things ? Keep using a sword, fine but buy/collect a shield with a lower requirement. Whatever armor you're using, as long as its not a full set of Knight's/Ascalon, is probably fine.
Edit: Zui's build is good if you don't use that shield of yours.
Edit: Iron Asp is terrible, ignore it.

If he absolutely wants to use that 12 tactics shield, there aren't a whole lot of good sword builds to run. I've never run Iron Asp, so I'm not sure what's wrong with it exactly. It looks fine on paper ... you get bleeding and deep wound, a snare, energy management + self-heal, and two non-attack knockdowns. It's certainly not the best build I've ever seen but I don't see why it wouldn't work decently in arenas or whatnot.

If you're going to bring Bull's Strike, definitely bring Sprint this way you can catch up to a fleeing/moving player and knock them down. Though, for both to be effective, you'll need quite a few points in Strength.
Bull's Strike+Sprint is also pretty good in PVE when you got enemies fleeing from an Area of Effect spell (usually from Elementalists). (It is also incredibly useful in Alliance Battles when you have players running about trying to cap bases.)

1. Must have sword
2. Must have 12 Tactics shield*
3. Must NOT have Gladiator's Armor...
*Aside from your step #2, which is a pretty dumb way of doing things, sorry... Your other req. are doable...
Swords don't suck. High average damage, strong balance of energy AND adrenaline skills, and the hardest hitting dmg reflects in the game... (getting hit by Riposte + Deadly Riposte + simultaneously kills most things pve if not outright... PvP? nah...)
I'd definitely suggest looking for either the collector's shields outside Camp Rancor, which are a nice 9 tactics shields or a 8-9 Strength shield since you don't want to tank. The best Tactics skill I've seen at 0 tactics is Watch Yourself!! no doubt...
Some decent rules of thumb to follow to do damage and do it right...
No warrior, I don't care how you build it, can kill as fast as one that can Deep Wound. With a sword sadly, you have no choice but to use 2 skills [as well as a hammer] to land a deep wound... One of the reasons why axes are so popular and the deadliest weapon in the game, is that they deep wound anything... Ghosts, Undead, non-fleshy, Spirits, Minions, ANYTHING...
So Sever + Gash are definite must haves unfortunately... However, I'd highly suggest either Dragon Slash as was mentioned or Final Thrust... No other warrior skill in the game does this kind of + dmg (deep wound not withstanding...)
If you really DON'T want to be a tank, then maybe Assassin *cringe* is your goal... They kill foes... uh... eventually and they do not tank in even the slightest regard...
If you want cool armor not needed for tanking, then I'd suggest Berserker Armor easily. Unconditional hp never hurt anyone and since you're not going to be under heavy fire *heaven forbid*, the extra hp will buffer your escape perhaps?
P.S. If you really can't afford to devote two skills to Deep Wound, I don't think you'll get a damage premium better than Galrath Slash and Silverwing Slash back to back...

Dragon Slash almost needed for a-spike, great adrenaline management. As for your "must-haves"
1.sword only; reasonable, thats ok
2.max tactics shield; boneheaded, that simple, absolutely STUPID. trash it.
3.not glads armor; why not?
I use this build for pve and pvp
beserker stance
endure pain
sever
gash
sun and moon/silverwing
d-slash
(a skill you like, ussualy high adrenaline)
rez
sword:12+1+3
strength:12
tactics:3

You could er... go 12+2+1 Sword and 12+2 Tactics I guess for a split 15 Sword / 14 Tactics / 4 Strength setup. You'd have 5 health more health using 2 Major runes now than using a Superior rune. Say you used Dreadnought armour with that, AL90.
Dragon Slash + Galrath Slash + Silverwing Slash is a fair adrenaline spike. Don't forget For Great Justice! of course. I suppose you could take an increase attack speed buff instead.
Then on the Tactics side you could try Deadly Riposte, Watch Yourself (or Riposte), Healing Signet and a rez of your choice.
The only energy you'd use would be for FGJ! and Deadly Riposte, so 20 should suffice.
So your bar would be something like...
Galrath Slash
Silverwing Slash
Dragon Slash
Deadly Riposte
Watch Yourself!
For Great Justice!
Healing Signet
Rez
My 2c.
